Athens-Clarke County w/only UGA Jurisdictions reported 1/1/2023-3/14/2023

Athens-Clarke County w/ UGA main Jurisdictions enlarged 1/1/2023-3/14/2023

Athens-Clarke County All Incidents reported 1/1/2023-3/14/2023

We have a new dashboard that will update every morning showing both reported aggravated assaults and shooting incidents. In some cases there are two pin-drops indicating both a shooting and an aggravated assault. In the recent case at Northview Drive, 3 defined incidents would be reported - aggravated assault, shooting incident, and murder. On these maps we are only identifying aggravated assaults and shooting incidents (which when clicked indicate if resulted in murder) thus there are two pin-drops at the Northview Ave location.

The UGA 500 yard jurisdictions have been further identified (the light blue areas) and now include the Health Science Campus on Prince Avenue and Oglethorpe Avenue. As you can see there was one aggravated assault identified within the newly isolated Health Science Campus jurisdiction.

Comparative Data from ACCPD as the lead agency: 1/1/2023 - 3/14/2023 There have been 22 Aggravated Assaults, 4 Shootings (includes 1 murder shooting), and 3 injuries mapped within UGA boundaries (light blue areas). Outside of UGA boundaries there have been 104 Aggravated Assaults, 21 Shootings, 7 Injuries, and 0 murders. Combined for all of ACC there are 126 Aggravated Assaults, 25 Shootings, 10 Injuries, and 1 Murder.

Please click on the Interactive MAP to view combined data and isolated UGA jurisdictional data. Details of the incident are viewable when the pin-drops are clicked. If there are two pin-drops indicative of both an aggravated assault and shooting then enlarge the map to click on each separately. Shell casing numbers are also recorded. Courtesy and thanks to ACCPD. Also note, these data do not include data collected and reported separately by UGAPD as a lead agency for any incident.
